Food

The food in Kaskis is inspired by the fresh and pure flavours of Scandinavia. Organic and local production are the key elements and considered to be important, but not vital.
Taste matters.
Products of Finnish forests hold particular status in our chefs’ minds. It is not strange at all to meet our chefs in the woods of the Turku area, picking i.e. wild herbs and mushrooms!
We are very picky with our fishes, but it goes without saying that everything needs to be fresh.
Modern techniques are in use, but only to assist the production. It is actual food that is being served to the guests. And it comes in fair portions!
At the moment, we serve the following within our menu: Baltic herring and lovage, sweetbread in onion soup, Kakola Brewing Company´s pale ale glazed cheek of pork and lingonberry with liqorice-caramel sauce. Menu was last updated on 12th Nov 2018.
